Grainfield, KS : Schools


Wheatland Elementary, Grinnell Middle School, and Wheatland High School have been serving the community for more than 75 years collectively. Through a cooperative agreement, the communities of Grainfield and Grinnell share students' educational responsibilities. Children in these communities experience a welcoming and nurturing school setting. Students receive a valuable education from highly qualified and caring teachers. Small class sizes promote one-on-one instruction, and students have the opportunity to actively participate in class activities. Creativity is encouraged, and student involvement is key to classroom success. The small size also fosters differentiated instruction, meeting the needs of all students and building a solid foundation for your students' future endeavors. Each school prides itself in academic excellence. This is proven year after year with outstanding state assessment scores from the grade school to the high school. Grinnell Middle School introduces students to competitive sports, and these students continue the winning tradition at Wheatland High School.
